Lea Barkip - Sound Island Festival, Margate, 25 July 2009

Sound Island is the best thing in Margate in the summer! I've been the past two years and the bands are always amazing. This summer, JLS were on in the afternoon - I can't wait to see them again in January. N-Dubz' fans were really into their music, but I hadn't got Uncle B when I saw them, I wish I had because I really like it. The Pussycat Dolls were amazing, and definitely worth waiting all day for - I really wanted to hear Don't Cha, and when they sung it everyone was singing along - brilliant!

Joy Hartles - The Subways, Coldplay, James Morrison, Friendly Fires

The Subways gig was the first proper gig I went to, it was so amazing that I've been to a lot since!

I love music, and love gigs...and somehow, me and my friends are at the front of most gigs we go to!

After jumping, singing, shouting and screaming at The Subways gig and having Billy Lunn jump directly on top of us we were lucky enough afterwards to spot their tour manager who was able to go get Billy, which meant we met him! Great experience!

Also at The Subways gig we saw a brilliant band support them called Twin Atlantic and we thought they were so great we went to see them play on their own headline tour and got to meet those guys too; shortly after that they were signed by Red Bull Records!

At Coldplay, I wasn't at the front..unfortunately, we were right at the back and I didn't meet anyone either, haha! At this point I wasn't signed up to Gigantic's mailing list so I didn't realise they were touring till last minute...nevertheless, an awesome gig!!

James Morrison is also a smashin' performer! The night we saw him he really played his heart out and was so passionate about the songs he was singing.

The last gig I went to was Friendly Fires...I've never danced at a gig as much as I did at this one! Absolutely knock out! The crowd was brilliant and Friendly Fires gave it their all. After this we saw Jack (their drummer) and had a photo with him :)

It's been 2 months since that gig and I'm craving for another! Next up is Peter Doherty in September.

The Ritz, Manchester - July 2009

Went to see De La Soul at the Ritz in Manchester the other week. Who should walk on half way through but Damon Albarn. I couldn't believe my eyes but got this pic to show that it was real. Was a top gig and they sang (Gorrillaz song) Feel Good together.
